Customizable design

Cash cards are designed to fit your institution's branding and requirements. All cards can be personalized with the name of the cardholder.

Cash cards may include an EMV chip, so they can use the cash card as a debit card.

QR Code

Customers can scan the QR code on the card with their bank or e-wallet app to pay or transfer money to the cardholder, and the money will be deposited to the cardholder's U account.

Every cash card is connected to an individual U e-wallet account. Payments and cash disbursements can easily be made to any U account as long as they are registered. And because the cash card is tied to the individual's account information, the card can also function as an ID to verify the cardholder's identity.

Easy cash-ins with Instapay

Cardholders can also cash-in their U e-wallet account via Instapay for easier and more secure funds management.

U Merchant app

Accredited merchants within the institution's ecosystem can be onboarded with their own U account and equipped with a customized merchant app, which they can use to scan the QR code on the cash cards to receive payments. Earnings are deposited into the merchant's U e-wallet account.

Cash disbursements

Financial assistance, interventions, and other allowances can be disbursed by the institution straight to the individual's cash card. Recipients only need to be registered for their individual U e-wallet accounts.

Single card, separate sub-wallets

Your payment ecosystem can also be tailored so that each individual can have multiple sub-wallets within a single U account and cash card. Each sub-wallet can be limited to specific merchants or types of goods, or limited to card payment only with no cash withdrawal.

Accredited merchant purchases

Accredited merchants can be included in the U Business Solutions payment ecosystem where they can accept payments made through U cash cards.

Merchants are equipped with a U Merchant app that they can use to scan the cardholder's QR code for making payments.
Earnings are deposited straight to the merchant's U e-wallet account and settled at their preferred schedule.
All transactions are included in detailed reports for transparency.

Concessionaire payments

If you have concessionaires within the office or school, U can help you facilitate a safer, more secure, and transparent cashless payment ecosystem.

Easy cash-ins. Individuals can easily cash-in their U cash card via Instapay or CIBPI.
Safer way to spend. Money stays secured in the individual's U e-wallet account to avoid theft or loss, unlike bringing physical cash. U cash cards can also be customized to have PIN for enhanced security.
Better budgeting. Cardholders can set spending limits and track spending more easily with the cash card acting as a prepaid debit card. All card transactions can be monitored using the U Mobile App.
